Things to keep in mind:
The "Exit Wave" is Real
Older guests and Families with Children typically head for the doors earliest.
Plan the "Grand Exit" early in the evening at Dark. The crowd will quietly leave as the night goes on
Keeping the transitions tight and prevent "Dead Time".
The Momentum Killer (Long Gaps):
If speeches go over 15 minutes—guests lose their "party buzz" and start checking their phones.
Consider starting Speeches while guests are finishing dinner
Knock out the first dances, toasts, and cake cutting as close together as possible. This frees up the rest of the night for uninterrupted dancing, ensuring your DJ can maintain a flow without being told to stop the music for an announcement every 15 minutes.
The Bride & Groom Anchor the Floor:
Guests will follow your lead. If the newlyweds are at the bar or outside chatting the whole night, the dance floor will naturally empty.
